Draw the Line

Campaign Launch Video

Draw the Line is a Center for Reproductive Rights campaign in which people from all walks of life—celebrities, activists, artists, homemakers, business people, anyone who believes in reproductive freedom—stepped off the sidelines to speak out.

To launch the campaign the Communications Team created a star studded video including Meryl Streep, Amy Poehler, Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Sarah Silverman, Olympia Dukakis, and more. The video went viral upon launch.

Working with a small, scrappy inhouse team as the graphic designer, I helped write the script, produced the graphics, and contributed to the video editing — my hand even was a stand in for Kyra Sedgwick's hand in the first scene where she scrolls through the “Bill of Reproductive Rights.” The design of the Bill in the video is my design work.

Center for Reproductive Rights

Manifesto Video

The Center for Reproductive Rights 2018 Gala was an opportunity to create and debut a Manifesto Video capturing the essence of the organization. Working with a team at Edelman, I chose a combination of authentic footage and imagery of staff and clients, mixed with carefully chosen stock footage and photography.

The voiceover was chosen to represent the strong international work the Center undertakes, reading aloud a version of the Center’s mission statement.

The video has been used by the Development Department as an effective fund-raising piece and at donor events.

Caroline’s Story

Animation

The Center for Reproductive Rights made recordings of women from Kenya, Africa recounting their experiences with reproductive health care. Without video or images of the women, the design team was presented the challenge of how to represent the audio stories.

I acted as creative director on the project working with a designer and animator.

We chose the story of Caroline to bring attention to an all too common issue. Women just like Caroline are forced to seek unsafe abortions and receive inadequate health care in countries all over the world. The animation was chosen to be screened at the Film Festival at Women Deliver 2019, the largest international conference on women's rights.
